Launch of ERDERA: A game-changing partnership!

On 12 September 2024, the European Rare Diseases Research Alliance ( ERDERA) published a press release announcing its launch. ERDERA aims to improve the lives of 30 million patients with rare diseases in Europe and beyond.

The new partnership, which is supported by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme and the Member States, is coordinated by the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research ( INSERM). ERDERA brings together more than 170 organisations from the public and private sectors to support research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases.

The Czech Republic is involved in ERDERA through the Ministry of Health as the main beneficiary and the Agency for Health Research ČR as an affiliated entity.

The ERDERA launch event will take place on 28 October 2024 in Paris, where the ambitions will be presented in the broader context of the EU Rare Disease Research Strategy. A representative from AZV ČR will also attend this event. If you are interested in following the event online, registration is possible under this link.
