Board Scientific Boardis the highest expert body of AZV.
The composition of the Scientific Board, the manner of its activities, the conditions of impartiality of the members of the Scientific Board, the manner of handling the data contained in the project proposals are regulated by the Statute and the Rules of Procedure of the Scientific Board and the Panels of the AZV ČR.
Board Scientific Board a maximum of 16 members, including the chair and vice-chair. The chair of the Scientific Board is appointed and dismissed by Chair AZV the recommendation of the scientific community and the Ministry of Health. The other members are appointed and dismissed by Chair AZV the recommendation of the Ministry of Health. The members of the Scientific Board are the chairs of the Panels and other representatives of the scientific community. The term of office for members of the Scientific Board, with the exception of the Chair of the Scientific Board, is two years, with the possibility of extension for a maximum of two additional consecutive terms. It is possible to be reappointed as a member of the Scientific Board two years after the end of the original term. During their term of office, Chair of the Chair Council may not apply for project-specific funding in the role of proposer/principal investigator or co-proposer/co-investigator of a Project.
The Scientific Council is headed by Chair the Vice Chair. Members of the Scientific Council are entitled to compensation for activities related to the performance of their duties. The amount of compensation for members of the Scientific Council is determined by Chair AZV the recommendation of the AZV Presidium.
Board Scientific Board :
(a) Reviews evaluation expert evaluation proposed by the individual panels and determines the proposed overall ranking of projects for the award of targeted support;
b) Reviews evaluation technical evaluation proposed by individual panels during evaluation and final reports on project implementation;
c) Informs the AZV Presidium AZV the results evaluation evaluation the evaluation phases evaluation project evaluation , as well as the results of evaluation and final reports on project implementation;
(d) Submits AZV to the AZV Presidium regarding evaluation methodologies, support for, and the focus of medical research and development; proposes the establishment or dissolution of Panels; evaluates the scientific quality of Projects; and proposes AZV measures to the AZV Presidium.
