The Expert Evaluation Panels of the AZV ČR provide expert and economic assessment and evaluation of the project proposals, sub-projects and final reports of the projects. The members of the Panels, including their Chairs and Vice-Chairs, are appointed and dismissed by the the AZV ČR Chair on the proposal of the AZV ČR Board, which selects the members of the Panels from the proposals of the MoH and the expert public.
The composition of the Panels, the manner of their activity, the conditions of non-bias of the Panel members, and the manner of handling the data contained in the project proposals are regulated by the Statutes and Rules of Procedure of the Panels of the AZV ČR. Every Panel is headed by a Chair and a Vice-Chair.
In particular, the Panels prepare internal assessments of project proposals, ensure the preparation of evaluations of project proposals by external opponents and prepare documents and recommendations for the meetings of the Scientific Board. They also evaluate the interim and final reports on the projects and prepare recommendations for the Scientific Board meetings on the procedures and results of the accepted projects.
A Panel Chair may apply for designated support in the capacity of proposer / researcher during their term of office. The members of the Panels shall be entitled to remuneration for the performance of activities related to the exercise of this function. The remuneration of the members of the Panels shall be determined by the AZV ČR Chair on the proposal of the AZV ČR Board.
