On 28 November 2024, the Ministry of Health (hereinafter referred to as the "Ministry of Health") publishes, in accordance with Act No. 130/2002 Coll., on support for research, experimental development and innovation from public funds and on amendments to certain related acts (Act on support for research, experimental development and innovation), as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"), 

the third transnational call of the THCS (Transforming Health and Care Systems) partnership:

Information about the call

The third transnational challenge of the THCS (Transforming Health and Care Systems) partnership, "Better care closer to home: Enhancing primary and community care", aims to:

  1. fund research and innovation projects that will boost:
  • primary and community health and social care systems;
  • provide policy and decision makers with the necessary knowledge and tools in relation to the primary and community care sector;
  • support the transformation of health care systems;
  • contribute to faster exchange of best practices in different countries and regions.

Sub-themes of the call (in original text):

Sub-topic 1: Strengthening the primary and community health and care system;

Sub-topic 2: Systematic approaches to modernising the primary and community care sector.

Size of the project consortium:

The consortium must include at least 3 eligible partners applying for funding from at least 1 EU Member State and at least 2 other independent legal entities, each established in a different Member State or Associated Country, whose funding organisation is participating in the call. All 3 legal entities must be independent of each other. A maximum of 2 eligible partners per consortium from the same country and a maximum of 2 collaborators ('collaborators') who are not applying for funding from one of the participating funding organisations are allowed. Collaborators do not count towards the maximum number of partners. The project coordinator must be eligible for funding from a regional/national funding organisation participating in the call. The maximum number of partners that can receive funding is 9.

Call rules:

The call is governed by transnational rules common to applicants from all participating countries. In addition to the transnational rules, Czech applicants must also comply with the national conditions set by the relevant national provider. Applicants participating in applied research projects will therefore have to comply with national conditions based on Sub-programme 3: European Partnerships in Health.
