EP PerMed: the call for research, innovation and technology is about to be launched!
The European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (PerMed), a partnership whose vision is to improve health outcomes in sustainable healthcare systems through research, development, innovation and implementation of personalised medicine approaches for the benefit of patients, citizens and society, will launch a joint transnational call "Test and Demonstration of Multimodal Data Approaches for Personalised Medicine (MultiPMData2026)" in early October 2025 .
The aim of the call is to:
- linking businesses with clinical stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patients and researchers, to test innovative solutions in controlled real-world settings; these solutions should address specific and clearly defined needs in the care of patients with multiple chronic conditions that require long-term, coordinated care (multimorbidity);
- Fund innovative projects in the field of human health, focusing on the use of heterogeneous (multimodal) data in personalised medicine approaches, with the aim of more efficient and individualised management of care for patients with two or more chronic diseases requiring continuous healthcare (multimorbidity).
Projects will address at least one of the following aspects:
- recognising or describing the presence of other diseases that occur together in patients with chronic diseases;
- diagnosing or monitoring disease progression, including periods of improvement and relapse;
- supporting the transition from inpatient to outpatient care through remote monitoring or reporting using wearable devices or other technical tools;
- decision support for treatment choices (e.g. type and dose of treatment);
- monitoring and managing multiple treatments (including drug combinations) to increase the effectiveness of treatment or reduce the risk of side effects and harmful drug combinations;
- ensuring adherence to long-term treatment regimens.
Project proposals must include a clearly described and high-quality strategy for the collection, processing and use of diverse (multimodal) health data.
Transnational project consortia must include a clinical partner and at least one SME or industrial partner.
Large-scale clinical trials are not covered by this call and will not be supported under this call.
