Information about the call

The second joint transnational call of the ERDERA partnership:"Resolving unsolved cases in rare genetic and non-genetic diseases" aimsto:

  • respond to the needs of patients with rare diseases and enable researchers to establish effective, transnational, interdisciplinary research collaborations based on common interests and the sharing of expertise.
  • To addressundiagnosed rare genetic diseases and deal with complex rare non-genetic diseasesby identifying causal variants in patients who have not received a molecular diagnosis after previous genetic or genomic testing, thereby providing diagnostic certainty in conditions with unknown or mixed pathogenesis.

Size of the project consortium

Each project consortium must include4-6 eligible partners from at least 4 different countrieswhose funding organizations are participating in the call.In specific cases, this number of partners may be increased to8. Each of these partners must be eligible and apply for funding from the relevant funding organization.A maximum of 2 eligible partnersapplying for funding from the same country are allowed per consortium. The project coordinator may not be changed between the first and second phases. Patient organizations, whether they apply for funding or not, are not counted in the total number.

Call rules:

The call is governed by transnational rules common to applicants from all participating countries. In addition to the transnational rules, Czech applicants must also comply with the national conditions set by the relevant national provider. Applicants participating in applied research projects will therefore have to comply with national conditions based on Sub-programme 3: European Partnerships in Health.
