ČR partner in new European partnership on antimicrobial resistance

On 1 June 2025, the European Partnership on One Health Antimicrobial Res istance ( EUP OH AMR) was formally established to provide a coordinated approach for European countries to address the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the spirit of the One Health concept. 

The Czech Republic has been actively involved in the preparation of the partnership from the very beginning, through the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Agency for Health Research ČR AZV). The partnership builds on the previous European Joint Programming Initiativeon Antimicrobial Resistance ( JPI AMR) and aims to support research, innovation, prevention and implementation of effective AMR measures across human health, veterinary care, agriculture and the environment. The kick-off meeting of the partnership will take place in September 2025.

The AZV aims to participate in the 1st joint multinational call to be launched on 18 November 2025 on the occasion of World Antibiotic Awareness Day.
