Under which category should we classify the project based on the type of research? We do not have a business partner on the Czech applicant’s side; we are applying solely as a research organization. I assume that “industrial research (applied) subject to certain conditions” does not apply to us.

Classification by research type is particularly important for businesses, as it determines the maximum aid intensity (including a possible increase upon fulfillment of the specified conditions); the business then covers the remaining amount from other sources. Research organizations are generally eligible for 100% targeted aid regardless of the type of research. Since we support applied (industrial) research, we expect this category to be selected, or possibly experimental development. It is also possible to select basic research, but only in combination with the other research categories listed above; however, the percentage share of basic research must be lower than the share of the other cost categories.
