The AZV ČR NewsletterČR has been published
We have prepared this year’s first issue of the ČR Health Research Agency newsletter, which summarizes the most important events of the past few months. We are very pleased that interest in the public call for proposals continues to grow significantly. Compared to the previous year, the number of project proposals submitted to VES 2027 increased by nearly 20%, with a particularly positive trend being the more than 30% increase in projects submitted by early-career researchers in the junior projects category. We view this development as an important sign of the scientific community’s confidence in the agency’s work and, at the same time, as confirmation that supporting a new generation of scientists in the field of applied health research is worthwhile.
At the same time, on April 29, 2026, the Ministry of Health announced a single-stage public call for proposals for targeted funding under the Program to Support Applied Health Research for 2024–2030, specifically Subprogram 4: Support for National Authorities in Priority Areas of Health Research. The objective of the subprogram is to support the long-term sustainability and further development of national authorities established between 2022 and 2025 under the EXCELES program. Only a grant recipient who was specifically awarded funding under the EXCELES program—as an implementation tool for Component 5.1 of the National Recovery Plan—to establish a National Authority between 2022 and 2025 is eligible to apply. The application period runs from April 30 to June 11, and the start of implementation for supported projects is scheduled for August 1, 2026.
