THCS webinar: modernising hospitals for a sustainable future
How can hospitals reduce their energy consumption while improving the environment for patients and staff? This question will be the focus of an expert webinar organised by the European partnership THCS - Transforming Health and Care Systems, which has been prepared in collaboration with the Scottish Government, the Department of Health and the ČR Health Research Agency. Both Czech institutions actively participated in its organisation and programme.
The webinar will take place on 27 May 2025 from 11.00 to 12.00 and will offer a comprehensive view of hospital infrastructure modernisation through the lens of energy efficiency, sustainability and long-term cost-effectiveness. Participants will learn about specific approaches from the Czech Republic and Scotland, including financing options, an overview of legislative support and practical solutions to reduce energy consumption in healthcare.
The keynote speaker for the ČR Republic will be Ing. Petr Šanda, DiS., Head of the Operations Department of the Na Homolce Hospital, who will present practical experience with modernisation and energy savings in this Prague hospital. The webinar will also offer space for open discussion with experts. The agenda is available for download here. Remember to also register early using this link.
