AZV ČR and CZECRIN concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation

The AZV ČR and the research infrastructure CZECRIN - Czech
Clinical Research Infrastructure Network have signed a memorandum of cooperation on 3 April 2023. CZECRIN is the Czech node of the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network ECRIN-ERIC and its host institution is the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. CZECRIN provides support for the implementation of non-commercial clinical trials and contributes to the involvement of academic institutions in international clinical research projects.

"Our common wish is to develop mutual relations and to strive for the acquisition, exchange and deepening of experience, especially with regard to research and development in the field of non-commercial clinical evaluation human medicines and clinical trials of medical devices," said prof. Ondřej Slabý, the AZV ČR Chair, adding that these non-commercial clinical trials may be part of grant applications submitted in the framework of calls announced by the Agency. The two institutions, among others, declared their interest to participate in the development of non-commercial clinical trials at all stages in order for the Czech Republic to be able to optimize clinical practice with a direct impact on the improvement of patient care through applied research. One of the objectives is also to enable collaboration in the education of physicians, non-medical health professionals and
postgraduate students, on topics primarily related to the methodology of clinical studies with an overlap with pharmaceutical medicine.
