The AZV ČR Newsletter has been published
We have prepared this year's second issue of the ČR Health Research Agency newsletter, which summarizes the most important events of the past six months. We saw record interest in the VES 2026/J competition – the number of project proposals submitted increased by almost 20%, with support being granted to approximately one-fifth of them, similar to previous years. This year's Minister of Health Award for Health Research and Development also provided a very good picture of where applied health research is heading. The ten award-winning projects cover a wide range of topics – from molecularly and genetically defined diseases to rare tumors and zoonoses to advanced surgical and interventional procedures. The positive balance continues at the European level as well. Nine projects with Czech participation were successful in European partnership calls within ERA4Health, PerMed, THCS, and ERDERA. This is a clear signal that domestic research teams can compete internationally and are actively involved in prestigious European consortia.
